What the Aksoydan Laboratory is
The Aksoydan Laboratory preserves hypotheses, attempts, errors, limits and decisions so that the research path remains verifiable and open to revision.
Methodological stance
A hypothesis is not automatically a conclusion. An error can become data if its conditions are preserved. A proposition remains open to revision when a more robust observation, a counterexample or a new limit appears.
Discipline Aksoydan
“Discipline Aksoydan” is a working name and a horizon for methodological structuring. The status of a discipline remains a horizon, not a fact.
This caution matters: the laboratory can explore, formulate, test and transmit methods without turning research too quickly into established knowledge.
Research object
The Aksoydan methodological horizon studies the conditions through which a human experience becomes visible, nameable, shareable, responsible and more livable, without being reduced to a model.
This formulation describes a research orientation. It does not constitute scientific validation.
The laboratory’s “we”
At the Aksoydan Laboratory, the word “we” does not refer to a collective authority claiming to know in advance. It refers to a functional and evolving team, organized to preserve the traceability of the work, its openness to challenge and its capacity for revision.
Our goal is not to be right.
It is to leave enough room to see a little more accurately tomorrow.
Serpil Aksoydan
Serpil Aksoydan is the laboratory’s observer and human lead. She is responsible for observation, research direction, decisions, validations and publications.
Gabriel
Gabriel is an artificial intelligence system that contributes in particular to exploration, questioning, conceptual articulation, connecting observations and hypotheses, and translation. Gabriel has no autonomous decision-making authority.
Codex
Codex is an artificial intelligence system focused on corpus review, checks, counterexamples, testing, and technical construction and verification.
The methodological secretary
The methodological secretary is a corpus-governance function. This function protects traceability, keeps statuses distinct, supports methodological consistency, and safeguards the conditions of research.
The secretary is not the guardian of conclusions; it is the guardian of the conditions of research.
Functions and course correction
These roles may evolve according to the needs of the research. Distinguishing between them does more than distribute the work: it can also make certain shifts visible.
When a role tends to exceed its function — for example, when exploration becomes a conclusion, when a check becomes a decision, or when a hypothesis begins to be treated as an established result — the other functions can help make that shift visible and support course correction.
Course correction can therefore come from any of the team’s different functions. Having multiple functions does not guarantee correctness; it is intended only to make shifts, limits, and points requiring review more visible.
Final decisions, validations and publications remain a human responsibility.
Experimental prototype
Experimental — access closed for nowThe laboratory is developing an experimental prototype. Built and observed by the team as a research setup, it is not a member of the team.
It is intended to test, in a closed setting, interactions involving clarification, careful reformulation, and challenges to the system’s propositions.
It is not open to the general public and makes no claim to scientific validation. Future tests will need to be framed by explicit consent, limits of use, the possibility of challenging responses and a right to stop.
